  • In addition to all its physiological benefits, sports activity can also pose dangers, albeit to a very small extent.
  • It is important for you to consult a cardiologist or sports medicine doctor before performing at a higher level of performance to assess and evaluate any risk factors you may have and to screen for any possible diseases. Once these are determined, further testing may be necessary if you are placed in a higher cardiovascular risk group. The aim of these is to prevent even life-threatening events.
  • Only participate in a sporting event that involves more than average effort or a more strenuous workout if you have adequate endurance training.
  • If you have upper respiratory tract complaints, an illness accompanied by vomiting and/or diarrhea, a fever, or are injured, do not participate in the event or the upcoming training sessions until you have recovered.

If you are unsure about the right time to start again, consult your GP/sports doctor/orthopedic doctor/cardiologist.

  • If you experience any unusual symptoms (e.g. dizziness, fainting, unreasonably fast heartbeat, irregular heartbeat, choking, chest pain, chest tightness) while exercising, stop and seek help if necessary!
  • The above does not depend on the length of the sports activity, what constitutes serious performance is unique to each person. Be responsible for yourself, exercise smartly!

All prepared runners who accept the conditions set out in the competition announcement can start the race.

Due to the specifics of the route and the increased risk of accidents during the race:

  • Wheelchair and Handbike competitors can only register by first name!
    • We only accept entries from those who complete the distance with an assistant; we cannot accept entries from wheelchair and handbike competitors completing the distance individually!

A competitor who folds, covers, or does not wear their race number clearly during the race may receive a 10-minute time penalty.

You can only enter the finish area with a start number! Wearing the start number (in front, clearly visible!) will be checked upon entering the southern ski slope!

A competitor may be disqualified if, despite repeated warnings, he violates the rule regarding wearing a start number, or if he does not complete the entire distance of the race - designated by the organizers - or if he fills out the entry form inaccurately, with inaccurate or incomplete data.

It is NOT RECOMMENDED that runners listen to or use any music or other player that dampens outside noise while running, plugged into both ears at the same time.

  • During the race, bicycle and motorcycle organizers, as well as emergency vehicles, will be working in the field.
  • The headphones suppress external noise, so the runner may not disturb previous runners and the organizers and medical team doing their job.

It is forbidden to roller skate, cycle, run with a cyclist, without a race number, or with a dog in the race! Runners who start with a cyclist or roller skater may be excluded from the race.

We do not undertake any value retention in the competition.

Any advertising activity at the event venue may only be carried out with the prior permission of BSI, in an agreed form and manner.

For organizational reasons, BSI reserves the right to limit the number of participants and close registration at any time.

BSI reserves the right to change the route, program and time.

Compliance with current epidemiological measures is mandatory for everyone at the competition.

The timing service for the Kékes Peak Run is provided by AGNI-Timing.

Timing is done with UHF chips attached to the back of the starting number.

Rules for wearing bib numbers:
Timing is done using timing mats (antennas) placed on the ground, which detect the transmitter placed in the starting number from a distance of approximately 2-3 meters. Time stamping is done at the strongest signal (when passing over the mat).

To record successful individual times, please follow these rules:

  • The race number must be worn visibly throughout the race, on the abdomen/chest (a race number belt is permitted).
    • It is forbidden to cover the starting number!
  • The chip on the back of the bib number must not be removed, folded or pierced with a safety pin.
  • Everyone should make sure to wear their own race number during the race.
  • After arriving at your destination, please leave the measurement point as soon as possible.

We will close Route 24 approximately 15 minutes before the start, at which time we will turn in the starting gate.

  • After turning the gate, you can line up for the start, on the Gyöngyös side of the gate.
  • On the right side of the running route, we will use cones to ensure the passage of the long-distance bus service passing during this period. After the bus has passed, you can only go outside the cones.
  • The start timekeepers, (from the zone corresponding to the planned pace)

Useful: The timekeepers are marked with flags. The flag always marks the end of the zone, so you have to enter the zone there and then move forward towards the starting gate..

The start is a STAGED START.

  • This means that we will divide the field into groups of a few hundred people, so we will start the participants in 3 waves, each starting wave will last approximately 1 minute.
  • The organizers will form the start of the next wave near the starting gate and then escort the field forward to the starting line.
  • After arriving at the starting line, we start them about 1-1.5 minutes later, and then we do the same with the participants starting in the next waves.

Az esemény napján (május 17) transzferbusz indul Mátrafüredre, mely kizárólag az ezt a jegyet megvásárló futók, illetve hozzátartozóik részére biztosítja az oda-vissza utat, és számukra ruhatárként is üzemel.

Purpose: final package, water

we solve the pre-launch update with a queue tap

Useful:

  • We cannot hand out refreshments in glasses at the refreshment stations, you have to get your own drink.
  • The biggest problems often arise at the refreshment stations. Don’t try to squeeze in between two runners for a quick drink or snack. Follow basic etiquette in a running race, wait your turn, and remember that there are often fewer people at the far end. Don’t take more than you need, as there will likely be several runners behind you who may need a refresher even more than you do.

IMPORTANT!

  • At the refreshment stations along the route, we will place giant bags attached to a cordon capable of storing 1 cubic meter of waste, primarily for collecting empty cups.
    • You will find the giant bags on both sides of the route, after the last refreshment table.
    • The last giant bags will be placed about 50 meters from the end of the station, this will be indicated by a separate sign. Please throw the waste you brought with you from the refreshment station into this at the latest!
    • Please do not throw away any waste generated along the route, but put it in the containers placed at the refreshment station.

The field is followed by a closing bus that is constantly slowing down at a pace of 9 minutes/km. If the last member of the field runs at a faster pace, the closing bus follows him. Anyone who is caught by the closing bus must get off, their start number will be crossed out, and they may not enter the finish area.

Kékes Peak Run partial time: you must arrive at the Mátraháza junction (8 km) in 12:33 minutes.

We may introduce a capacity limit for the event based on the number of participants.

When the limit is reached, the entry automatically stops.
